Job summary

Lake Air Products is seeking a 1st or 2nd shift Press Brake Set-Up Operator for its Little Chute, WI location. The role requires setting up and operating various presses to bend, notch, punch, and form metal to blueprint specs.

Requires 2+ years of press brake experience and the ability to read blueprints, with attention to quality and safety. The position offers a shift differential of $1.50 per hour for 2nd shift, competitive pay, full benefits, 401(k) match, PTO and holidays, plus tuition

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of Press Brake experience.
• Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission.
• Bend and lift, loading and unloading workpieces into the machine, and move from one workstation to another, alternately sitting and standing.

Responsibilities

• Operates power press, power brake, apron brake, swaging machine, foot-powered press, hydraulic press, or arbor press according to specifications. (Amada or Cincinnati)
• Knowledge of Set-ups.
• Knowledge of bend allowances and how to achieve them.
• Knowledge of press brake tooling.
• Roll forming and bump forming.
• Installs, aligns, and secures gears, holding fixtures, and dies to machine bed, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
• Select and position flat, block, radius, or special-purpose die sets into the ram and bed of the machine, using a hoist, crane, measuring instruments, and hand tools.
• Quickly and efficiently completing jobs with very few rejects.

We are currently looking for a 1st or 2ndshift Press Brake Set-Up Operator to join our Little Chute, WIlocation. If you have experience with set-ups, this is the role for you!

Shift Differential offered for 2nd shift work - $1.50 per hour.

Position Summary

Relies on Press Brake personnel to set up process; operator to bend, notch, punch, form rolls, arc, or straighten metal plates or sheet metal and structural shapes to blueprint or sketch specifications. Reading, comprehension, problem-solving and math skills normally associated with completion of the 12th grade in school. Knowledge and ability to use all needed equipment and supplies identifying quality and non-conforming products. Manufacturing environment and how product flows.
