Job summary

Weller Metalworks in Libertyville, IL is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator for 2nd shift to independently set up and run press brake machines in a fast-paced shop.

This role requires reading blueprints, measuring parts, and performing first-piece and in-process inspections to meet exact specifications. Safety and quality are paramount, with strict adherence to procedures and timely communication of defects.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Press Brake in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints is REQUIRED.
• Strong measuring skills and basic math (fractions & decimals).
• Mechanically inclined and detail-oriented.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Job Overview

Weller Metalworks is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator for our 2nd shift. This role requires the ability to independently read and interpret blueprints and operate press brake machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is not entry-level and does not include training from scratch.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, and walk throughout the workday
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
