Job Summary

Processes quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating, and performing simple programming of a press brake.

Job Responsibilities
  • Equipment Preparation: Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary setup adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first-piece and in-process inspections, completing production control charts, analyzing data, and making equipment adjustments as needed.
  • Training: Assist in training others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures and best practices.
  • Machine Operation: Solve production process problems, make equipment adjustments, and report production and quality data. Communicate decisions made and refer questions to the supervisor as necessary.
  • Operational Maintenance: Follow policies and procedures to maintain production operations, including managing equipment, raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods. Report needed changes.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Ensure the proper operation of equipment by adhering to preventative maintenance policies and procedures. Report needed changes and repairs.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results, cooperating with team members, and accepting re-assignments as directed by supervisors.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals and team objectives.
Qualifications
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Ability to understand and use basic math for measurements and calculations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of using measuring devices.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
  • Demonstrated reliable work history.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality.
