Job summary

Senneca Holdings is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate and maintain press brake machines to bend and shape metal components according to precise specifications, contributing to the production of high-quality commercial doors and components.

You will read blueprints, set machine parameters, perform quality checks, and collaborate with engineers and supervisors to optimize processes while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, or straighten metal workpieces.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine machine settings and material requirements.
  • Adjust machine settings, including backstops, ram depth, and pressure, to ensure precision bending.
  • Perform quality checks on completed workpieces, measuring dimensions and angles to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or issues and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production supervisors to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and use PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including material usage, machine settings, and output.

Desired Qualifications

Technical certification or training in machine operation, metal fabrication, or a related field.
Experience with CNC press brake machines is a plus.
Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
