Job description

Position: CNC Brake Machine Operator, 2nd Class

Objective: To operate CNC brake machines to produce parts that meet quality standards, ensuring timely completion and shipment.

Responsibilities:

1. Retrieve parts list and CNC programs to produce parts per job requirements.
2. Load materials onto the machine and secure them safely with clamps or fixtures.
3. Coordinate with the 1st class CNC Machine Operator to enter commands or adjust machine controls.
4. Monitor machine operation and control panel displays for proper functioning.
5. Use measuring tools like calipers and protractors to verify finished product dimensions.
6. Stage completed parts for the next fabrication phase.
7. Perform scheduled and repair maintenance on machines, including tool maintenance.
8. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
9. Perform side operations during machine cycle times as needed.
10. Train alongside 1st class CNC Machine Operators to develop skills.
11. Be available to work swing/night shifts when assigned.
