Job summary

Antunes in Carol Stream, IL is seeking a second shift Press Brake Operator to join our Fabrication team. The position is scheduled to work Monday through Thursday from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, with responsibilities including operating press brake equipment and reading blueprints.

You will develop and maintain program files and tooling, verify material thickness, manage inventories of raw materials, and suggest continuous improvement ideas to increase efficiency and reduce scrap.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years' experience with Amada/Salvagnini/Manual/Bender preferred.
• Read engineering blueprints, bill of materials, and verify tolerances.
• Ability to operate most fabrication equipment.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake fabrication equipment including Amada ATC, Salvagnini P2, Manual Press Brake, and other bending/forming equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and material gauge/tolerances; maintain tooling libraries.
• Develop and maintain program files, tooling library, and racks; ensure inventory accuracy.
• Identify improvements and drive continuous improvement to reduce scrap and increase throughput.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and compliant with safety policies.

Under general direction of the Floor Leader, the Press Brake Operator is responsible for set-up and operation of press brake equipment per specifications and standard operating procedures.What You'll Do:Operate press brake fabrication equipment including but not limited to: Amada ATC, Salvagnini P2, Manual Press Brake, and other bending / forming equipment.Operate forming equipment, troubleshoot, and makes adjustments to programs and equipment as necessaryRead and interpret blueprints including material gauge and tolerancesDevelops and maintains program files, tooling library, and tooling racks. .Maintains inventory accuracy and raw materials.Verify material thickness as called out on material pick listMaintains clean and functional work areas and adheres to safety policies and procedures.Identify improvements and suggest Continuous Improvement ideas to fabrication leadership.
