Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Summary

The Assistant Press Operator assists the Press Operator and Lead Press Operator in the basic setup and maintenance of the presses, verifying proper paper sheet sizes and types. They are also responsible for ensuring that all presses are supplied and fed with required quantities of paper and other consumables.

Schedule

3rd shift, Sunday - Thursday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM, or similar. Training may occur at other times.

Responsibilities include:

• Checking paper sheet size/type and verifying materials required
• Assisting with managing the preparation of next jobs to be printed
• Assisting with press maintenance tasks and cleaning
• Supporting the Lead Press Operator by completing tasks as directed to keep the press running
• Removing waste items for recycling
• Completing and maintaining all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Ensuring all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and free of safety hazards
• Reporting workplace hazards to management immediately
• Wearing all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
• Reporting all work-related injuries, illnesses, and near misses to management immediately
• Keeping work area/station in compliance with housekeeping guidelines
• Following safety and work rules and regulations
• Maintaining departmental housekeeping standards
• Performing general housekeeping duties
• Adhering to safety policies and maintaining a safe working environment
• Attending all department/company meetings
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience as a Sheet Fed Press Operator (Komori preferred)

Preferred

• High School Diploma or GED
