PPC Flex in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, is seeking a Press Operator Apprentice to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on apprenticeship develops skills to safely set up, operate, monitor, and maintain production presses, with emphasis on learning and safe practices.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, follows safety procedures, and commits to producing high-quality work while participating in on-the-job and classroom training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely operate and monitor production press equipment.
• Assist with machine setup, tooling changes, and changeovers.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and basic blueprints.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major problems to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow safety policies and housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, and team members.
• Participate in classroom and on-the-job apprenticeship training as required.
• Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to workin a manufacturingenvironment with noise, moving machinery, andvarying temperatures.

Work Schedule
