PPC Flex is seeking a motivated Press Operator Apprentice to join our manufacturing team in Kansas. This apprenticeship provides hands‑on training under experienced press operators to develop skills for safely setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining production presses.

This apprenticeship provides hands‑on training under the guidance of experienced press operators to develop the skills needed to safely set up, operate, monitor, and maintain production presses. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, follows safety procedures, and is committed to producing high‑quality work.
Learn to safely operate and monitor production press equipment.
Assist with machine setup, tooling changes, and production changeovers.
Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and basic blueprints.
Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major problems to supervisors.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and team members.
Participate in classroom and on-the-job apprenticeship training as required.
Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
High school diploma or GED required.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read basic measurements using rulers, calipers, or gauges (or willingness to learn).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable attendance and positive work ethic.
Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
