Responsibilities

  • Safely receive, inspect, and handle stamped parts as they exit the press to ensure quality standards.
  • Support CSR and Corporate Governance initiatives in cooperation with G-TEKT CSR.
  • Implement activities to improve ATA business operations using a strategy of steady compliance.
  • Communicate clearly during shift changes and when issues arise, and respond quickly to issues that could impact downstream processes.
  • Maintain steady production flow by working at the required production pace and support press operators and team lead.
  • Take ownership of part quality before it leaves the press area and support ISO‑9001 requirements.
  • Catch, stack, or place stamped parts from press operations in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform visual and tactile inspection of parts to identify defects and remove scrap or defective parts.
  • Follow standardized work instructions for part handling, stacking, packaging, and maintain proper part orientation.
  • Keep work area clean and organized in accordance with 5S standards and prevent damage during handling and transfer.
  • Assist with material handling, including moving finished parts to designated areas.
  • Communicate issues impacting safety, quality, or production immediately.

  • Matching: Compare part with quality check point, Kanban tag, and barcode.
  • Coding: Accurately complete production form by documenting part disposition.
  • Measurement: Verify part accuracy by measuring on fixture and verifying part characteristics.
  • Inspection: Compare quality of part against visual controls, master sample, and check fixture.
  • Math: Ensure parts are produced in schedule quantity by counting and tracking number of parts, using quantity and time to calculate efficiency.
Leadership & Service
  • Ensure personal safety by complying with all safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
  • Model appropriate associate conduct and work ethic.
  • Support press operators and team lead to maintain steady production flow.
  • Respond quickly to issues that could impact downstream processes or customers.
  • Communicate clearly during shift changes and when issues arise.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on safety and quality.
  • Take ownership of part quality before it leaves the press area.
  • Support ISO‑9001 requirements.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Stand for long periods (8–12 hours).
  • Ability to lift, carry, and stack parts (weight varies by product, often 10–40 lbs).
  • Lift up to 25–50 lbs. regularly.
  • Perform repetitive movements such as bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Work in an automotive production facility with robotic automation.
  • Exposure to noise, machinery, and industrial conditions.
  • Personal protective equipment required (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots).
