Pitney Bowes is seeking a Direct Hire Full Time Warehouse Presort Lead for our Aurora, IL facility. The role covers presort operations, coordinating drivers, and maintaining safety in a fast-paced environment.

Third shift duties include monitoring, communication with customers, and ensuring productivity standards are met. You will lead a team, train staff, and collaborate with multiple departments to optimize mail processing and delivery readiness.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mail quality prior to processing and before dispatch.
• Ensure correct dates, weights, and zip codes; prevent jams and misloads.
• Assist with presorting, machine operation, and other warehouse tasks as needed.
• Coordinate drivers to meet delivery schedules and routes.
• Oversee entry/exit of drivers and ensure on-time Post Office deliveries.
• Review pickup slips and communicate piece counts to the Job Cost Administrator.

You are a self-motivated and vital contributor to our company’s success in daily operations while continuing to see opportunities where others see challenges.You will:Monitor the quality of the mail prior to processing and before dispatchingEnsure that the mail is reviewed for proper dates, over weights, correct zip codes, and not stuck togetherAssist with a variety of warehouse tasks including but not limited to presorting and machine operating as neededCoordinate drivers to ensure all deliveries are completed and on timeMonitor drivers coming into the facility and leaving the facility for the Post Office to ensure they are meeting scheduled route timesCommunicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customers regarding orders to be picked upAssist in the Metering, Bulk mail, or Barcode departments between deliveriesReview pickup slips for piece counts and communicate piece counts to the Job Cost AdministratorPromote a clean work area to prevent possible injuries and/or tripping hazards to self and othersPerform all additional duties as requiredYour background:As a Lead, you have:The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodationsThe ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodationThe ability to work overtime which may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance noticeKnowledge of the pre-sort mailing business is a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong customer service skillsBasic enough understanding of Englis h to be able to understand and follow safety and other operations directions communicate in English, irrespective of your native language1-2 years prior Lead experience or similarOur Team:Pitney Bowes Presort Services performs mail sorting; performing some of the work that would typically be performed by the USPS .
