Job summary

Pitney Bowes in Phoenix, AZ is hiring for a Direct Hire Full Time Presort Associate 1 at our facility. This role trains you to prep outgoing mail, review postage and barcodes, and support production with quality checks.

Qualifications

• The ability to be dependable and reliable.
• Knowledge of the pre-sort mailing business is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• A basic understanding of English to follow safety and operational directions in English.
• The ability to work overtime with little or no advance notice.
• Must have current work experience at Pitney Bowes as a Warehouse Mail Sorter.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outgoing mail by verifying date, postage, and barcodes before production.
• Identify and report errors and bad barcodes on mail or packages.
• Troubleshoot and clear mail piece jams on sorter equipment.
• Monitor mail quality before processing and before dispatch.
• Understand USPS labels, bin numbers, and tray mapping.
• Adhere to QMS practices to ensure output quality.
• Prepare mail according to USPS stacking and preparation rules.
• Ensure sorter and related equipment run properly.
• Assist with inbound and outbound mail processing.
• Follow accepted times and deadlines for truck departures.
• Maintain clean, safe work area to prevent injuries.
• Perform additional duties as required.
