Job summary

Pitney Bowes in Phoenix, AZ is hiring for a Direct Hire Full Time Presort Associate 1. You will learn to prepare outgoing mail, review postage, and ensure barcode quality as part of our Presort Services.

This role offers weekly pay, full benefits, and opportunities for advancement. You may work on the day shift with a $0.25/hour premium for 2nd shift, and overtime as needed to meet SLAs. Join a team focused on accuracy and reliability, with training provided.

Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand/walk 80% of the time.
Willingness to work overtime including weekends/holidays.
Experience with Pitney Bowes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare outgoing permit and metered mail by reviewing date, postage, and barcodes.
Communicate errors and recognize bad barcodes in mail/packages.
Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from machines.
Monitor the quality of mail/packages before processing and dispatch.
Understand USPS labels, zip codes, and tray/bin alignment.
Follow QMS practices to assure output quality.
Ensure sorter and processing equipment run properly.
Assist with inbound and outbound processing of mail/packages.
Meet acceptance times and maintain SLA compliance.
Promote a clean, safe work area.
