Job description

The client seeks a transformational, mission-driven, entrepreneurial, and inspirational leader to serve as its next President. In this role, you will provide mission-centered, faith-informed leadership grounded in the Catholic and Mercy traditions, with a focus on advancing educational excellence through exceptional teaching, compassionate service, and a steadfast commitment to the Common Good. You will lead efforts to further the institution’s strategic vision while ensuring its long-term vitality through collaboration, innovation, and deep engagement with campus and community stakeholders.

The President will guide The client through a period of opportunity and transformation, bringing strategic vision, financial acumen, and decisive leadership to strengthen long-term sustainability. Core priorities include advancing enrollment growth, expanding strategic partnerships, and enhancing organizational capacity, while serving as the visible ambassador for the institution throughout Western New York. The role emphasizes effective storytelling and communication of The client’s distinctive value and transformative impact, inspiring confidence among internal and external stakeholders and helping secure resources to support future generations of students.

Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate an entrepreneurial, forward-thinking leadership approach that embraces innovation while remaining grounded in The client’s Catholic and Mercy mission. The President will work closely with the Board of Trustees and stakeholders to advance the institution’s goals and maintain its mission alignment.
