Job description

The client is seeking a President to serve as the organization’s top executive and oversee daily operations. As part of a new and growing franchise, the President will launch and establish the team’s brand identity within local and professional volleyball communities, while driving marketing, revenue optimization, and volleyball operations from inception. The role requires a proactive, adaptable leader who can influence decision-making across the organization.

The President will manage key departments including marketing, public relations, advertising, volleyball operations, ticketing, and corporate sponsorship sales, and will work closely with the General Manager and relevant support staff to build a championship-caliber team while maintaining financial discipline and professionalism. Core responsibilities include developing and executing business strategies to grow brand and market reach, providing financial oversight focused on profitability and cost management, and generating revenue through channels such as ticket and sponsorship sales, season ticket and group packages, and merchandise. The President will also oversee brand marketing, public relations, and storytelling to ensure consistent market positioning, serve as a primary ambassador to foster partnerships with civic leaders and media, and lead fan engagement efforts that align sales and marketing objectives with a strong guest experience.

The President will coordinate arena operations with arena leadership and concessions to ensure seamless game‑day execution, manage staffing and technical coordination as needed, and serve as a Governor representing The client in governance and stakeholder relations. The role includes working with ownership and investors to set organizational goals, monitor performance, and support operational excellence, as well as acting as the primary point of contact between the organization and the league office. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, prior leadership experience at the vice president or general manager level in sports organizations with emphasis on sales, marketing, and/or administration, and at least ten years of experience in professional, minor, or collegiate sports; experience launching and operating in a professional, minor, or collegiate sports market is preferred. The President should be flexible with a willingness to work unusual hours and perform multiple tasks, thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with strong attention to detail, and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
