Job summary

AYON Studio, a growing architecture and preservation practice in NYC, seeks a Preservation Architect to contribute to heritage conservation and adaptive reuse of landmark-quality buildings. The role focuses on documentation, design of interventions, LPC/DOB filings, and Construction Documents for interior and exterior projects.

The ideal candidate has architectural training or MSc in Historic Preservation, strong CAD/Revit skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and client liaison abilities.
• Experience documenting and designing for historic buildings.
• Familiarity with LPC, SHPO, DOB approvals and FISP compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate with leadership and staff.

Responsibilities

• Documentation and conditions assessments for existing buildings.
• Design of interventions including interior restoration and exterior repairs.
• Prepare Construction Documents for renovations and repairs; oversee construction phase.
• Coordinate progress with Project Manager and Principal; assist with marketing materials.
