Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Preservation Architect.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and preservation guidelines.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings to determine preservation measures.
• Develop preservation plans and designs that comply with codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to meet project goals.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for preservation projects.

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

A reputable architecture firm in Akron is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team

As a Preservation Architect you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while also ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations

You will work closely with clients contractors and other team members to deliver high-quality projects that meet the unique needs of each project

This position offers a competitive salary of 1800$ per month and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in the beautiful city of Akron

• Conducting thorough assessments of historic buildings to determine necessary preservation measures
• Developing preservation plans and designs that comply with building codes and regulations
• Collaborating with clients contractors and other team members to ensure project goals are met
• Preparing detailed drawings specifications and cost estimates for preservation projects
• Overseeing construction work to ensure adherence to plans and specifications
• Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues or concerns that arise
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle

Preference will be given to Canadian candidates who are fluent in English
