Job summary

La Petite Academy in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Team Lead to guide classroom activities and support teachers in promoting the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children. This role emphasizes classroom management, curriculum implementation, and a strong focus on safety and development.

You will mentor new hires and coordinate with families, while stepping in for Director duties when needed, ensuring licensing standards and a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA, preferred.
• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care, lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and center success.
• Mentor new hires and fellow teachers, creating fun, interactive learning experiences.
• Take on duties of Director or Assistant Director in absence, including opening/closing the school.
• Ensure daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and company standards.
