Job summary

Adams 12 Five Star Schools is seeking an ECTA (Temporary) Teaching Assistant to support a preschool classroom in Thornton, CO. You will work under the Early Childhood teacher, assist with weekly lesson plans, and provide personal care as needed for students with diverse needs.

The role requires a high school diploma, compliance with CO regulations for ECTA, and may include post-secondary coursework in early childhood education. Temporary end of the school year with 9 months duration.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with special education needs, including Autism, preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proof of Early Childhood Teaching Assistant qualification per Colorado regulations.
• Post-secondary coursework in early childhood education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and assist with instruction and specialized interventions for preschool students.
• Assist with physical needs and daily routines for all students.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
• Participate in team discussions on programming and progress.
• Engage in Early Childhood staff development and CPR/First Aid training.
• Perform clerical duties related to licensing and paperwork.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education
