Job summary

BakerRipley seeks an Assistant Teacher to collaborate with ISD preschool staff in creating activities and a safe, engaging learning environment aligned with goals and standards.

You will assist with lesson delivery, observe and document progress, maintain portfolios and logs, and help uphold education and safety policies. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, with opportunities to grow in teaching responsibilities.

Qualifications

• CDA credential or enrollment in a CDA program within 1 year of hire.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree with minimum 18 ECE hours; or pursuing degree.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; strong communication in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing learning materials and activities per lesson plans.
• Provide instructional support under teacher guidance.
• Participate in screening, observation, and progress documentation in the online system.
• Record and maintain student portfolios and logs (AM/PM, toothbrushing, cleaning, etc.).
• Support classroom safety and policies; lead in teacher’s absence.
