Job summary

Temple B’nai Or in Morristown, NJ is seeking an attentive preschool aide to support the lead teacher in a Jewish program for ages 18 months to PreK. You will help with safety, toileting, daily observations, and positive interactions, while following licensing standards.

• Work under the lead teacher in a Jewish preschool program.
• Ensure safety and security of students at all times.
• Assist with toileting, cleaning, and sanitizing per licensing standards.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Assist in making daily observations of children.
• Gain knowledge of the preschool curriculum and Judaic content provided.
• Interact and play with children in a positive calm manner.
• Attend staff development, meetings and other required trainings for needed professional development hours.
• Follow the state licensing and grow NJ kid expectations.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• CDA or bachelor's in education preferred
• First Aid /CPR certified, if not willing to get it within 90 days of employment
• At least 1 year experience working in preschool/childcare setting
• Experience with Judaic knowledge is a plus

Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma. An CDA, associates or bachelor's degree is preferred.
