Job summary

Temple B’nai Or in Morristown, NJ is seeking an attentive preschool aide to support the lead teacher in a Jewish program for ages 18 months to PreK. You will help with safety, toileting, daily observations, and positive interactions, while following licensing standards.

Hours are full-time or contract, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:45 PM, at 60 Overlook Rd. This role requires a high school diploma (CDA or education degree preferred) and CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days; prior

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA or bachelor’s in education preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Work under the lead teacher in a Jewish preschool program.
• Ensure safety and security of students at all times.
• Assist with toileting, cleaning, and sanitizing per licensing standards.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Assist in making daily observations of children.
• Gain knowledge of the preschool curriculum and Judaic content provided.
• Interact and play with children in a positive calm manner.
• Attend staff development, meetings and other required trainings for needed professional development hours.
• Follow the state licensing and grow NJ kid expectations.
