An established educational institution is seeking a dedicated educator to support the development of young learners. This role involves planning and implementing a nurturing curriculum for toddlers, fostering a warm and engaging classroom environment. Requirements: 5 days/week, 8:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. Contract will include 5 teacher work days. Qualifications: A college degree in education, human services, or human development preferred. Consideration will be given to a candidate’s education and experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Support the mission of the school
o Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for students ages 18 – 30 months. Assist classroom aide in supervision of a class of eight toddler students.
o Discuss assigned duties with classroom aide in order to coordinate planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Pinnacle Curriculum is available for use.
o Prepare lesson materials and bulletin board displays.
o Assist to maintain an organized and clean classroom.
o Provide a warm and loving atmosphere for students.
o Attend and contribute to monthly staff meetings (after school on Tuesday).
o Assist and attend special events sponsored by the school (Orientation, field trips, etc.) as needed.
o Perform any other duties as directed by the Director
o Regular attendance is expected; 5 days paid leave are allowed each school year. St. Anne’s follows the City of Salem School System regarding holidays and snow days. The contract will include 5 teacher workdays (4 before school begins in August/September and 1 after school ends in May).
