Preschool Teacher - Substitute

Job Summary:

The Preschool Teacher is a part-time position responsible for creating a fun and educational environment that facilitates a gradual transition from parents, developing cognitive, fine, and large motor skills through play, art, stories, and songs, and focusing on lifelong learning skills through readiness activities in math, science, pre-reading, and pre-writing. The preschool program runs from 9am-1pm, with opportunities to extend the day with lunch and enrichment classes starting in October.

This position is to be an on-call substitute teacher for our Preschool Program starting on September 15th, 2025, and ending on May 18th, 2026.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education/Early Childhood or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with preschool-aged children required.

Hours:

Monday through Friday: 8:30 am - 1:00 pm

Working Conditions:

• Teacher may need to lift a participant (in the absence of a parent) for comforting if hurt or crying.
• Work may be required during various weather and building conditions; primary responsibilities are indoors.

Hourly Range:

$18.50 - $23.50, depending on experience
