Job description

The Temple Shir Tikva Early Learning Center fosters a lifelong love of learning by celebrating each child’s natural sense of discovery and wonder through a Reggio inspired curriculum, and a rich nature based focus. Our teachers create experiences on the adjacent campgrounds and nurture children’s innate gifts of curiosity by promoting safe risk-taking, creativity and social interactions. Guided by Jewish culture and values (including universal character traits like kindness, respect, gratitude, teamwork, etc.), our learners develop their inner skills and also learn how to be part of a community.

The Early Learning Center welcomes staff from diverse backgrounds. If you are a team player who enjoys working collaboratively with your co-teachers, children and their families, The ELC is the right school for you. We take great pride in the relationships we foster with each of our teachers and care about your growth. We are a tight-knit community of teachers, who support each other. This position will be supervised by Stephanie Lerner, the ELC Director, who is eager to support educators’ personal and professional growth.

Candidate Qualifications:
  • Warm, engaging, creative and enthusiastic.
  • A strong knowledge of child development and an understanding of best practices in early childhood education.
  • Works collaboratively with fellow staff members, families and the community.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • EEC certified preferred.
  • A desire for professional growth in a supportive, inspiring teaching community.

Seeking teachers from 12:00-5:00 Monday-Friday.

Salary: $21-24/hour commensurate to experience and qualifications.
