Job summary

NEMCSA in Michigan is seeking a Preschool Teacher to create a safe, engaging classroom where children build skills for kindergarten readiness. You will support social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development while fostering an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.

You’ll partner with families through conferences and home visits, promote health and safety, collaborate with staff, and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Early Childhood Education with two years Head Start or similar experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with coursework equivalent to a major in Early Childhood Education and two years Head Start experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred; may qualify for Level 2 Teacher.

What You'll Do

As a Preschool Teacher, you'll help create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom where children can learn, grow, and build the skills they need for kindergarten success. In this role, you will:

What We Will Love About You:
  • Associate degree in Early Childhood Education and two years of experience in Head Start or another early childhood program
  • OR Bachelor's degree (or higher) with coursework equivalent to a major in Early Childhood education and two years experience in Head Start or another early childhood program.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred. (May qualify for Level 2 Teacher.)
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
