Job summary

NEMCSA is hiring a Preschool Teacher in Cass City, MI to create a safe, engaging classroom where children develop essential school-readiness skills. You will support social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development, foster an inclusive learning environment, and collaborate with families through conferences and home visits.

The role requires a Michigan teaching certificate with ZA or ZS endorsements or an equivalent preschool-focused degree, plus reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a valid Michigan Teaching certificate and a ZA endorsement or
• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood – General and Special Education ZS endorsement or
• Bachelor's Degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education (major) with specialization in preschool teaching is required.
• Two years' experience in Head Start or other Early Childhood Program is preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities, behavior support, and daily operations.
• Partner with families through communication, conferences, and home visits.
