Join to apply for the Preschool Teacher Assistant Part-Time role at The Diocese Of Rockford.

St. Patrick Catholic Preschool is seeking a part-time classroom aide to support preschool classrooms.

Schedule: Class days vary by grade level. All classes meet in the mornings: 8:15am-11:15am for PK3 and PK4, and 8:30am-11:00am for PK2.

Essential Job Functions

1. Support the teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate early childhood education experiences across various subjects including religion, art, music, literacy, science, and mathematics.
2. Assist in supervising activities that promote the health, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child, aligning with Diocesan goals.
3. Maintain a neat, safe, and organized classroom environment; assist in the upkeep of educational equipment and materials.
4. Help children develop good hygiene habits; diaper changing is required in the 2-year-old classroom.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be a practicing Catholic familiar with Catholic prayers, holidays, and teachings.
• Ability to organize and coordinate work with the teacher.
• Effective communication skills with students and staff.
• Ability to self-evaluate for professional growth.
• Professional attire, communication, and demeanor are expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Safe Environment requirements of the Rockford Diocese Virtus online program.
• CPR/First Aid training completion required.

Salary: $16.20/hour.
