Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools seeks a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support the lead teacher in planning daily activities and supervising students. The role includes helping with meals, guiding basic concepts, and providing one-on-one attention to learners.

You will help organize the classroom, pass out snacks, and interact with children to foster academic and social development while reporting progress to the lead teacher. Local travel between campuses may occur.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Food Handler’s Card/Certification.
• IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Criminal history background check.
• CPR and First Aid Certified.
• Ability to interact positively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
• At least 6 months experience in an Early Childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in planning, developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum.
• Provide support to lead teachers in devising and imparting lesson plans daily.
• Assist students individually or in small groups with assignments to reinforce concepts.
• Adapt activities and materials to support classroom goals.
• Monitor groups of students to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Assist during lunchtime and toileting activities; enforce cleanup after meals.
