Job summary

Cadence Education is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support daily classroom activities and Cadence Education programs. This role focuses on creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that accommodates children’s developmental and behavioral needs.

You will work under the supervision of School Directors and leadership, assisting with curriculum implementation, safety compliance, and communication with families.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and policy.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive and respectful classroom environment.
• Greet children and families daily and build welcoming relationships.
• Recognize and respond to developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs (IEPs as directed).
• Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools.
• Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual and report incidents.
• Manage, document, and report escalated child behaviors per Cadence procedures.
• Adhere to all Cadence Education policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development, may occur outside regular hours.
