Job Summary

Under general supervision, provides quality care to children in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. Ensures each child has the opportunity to create, explore, and learn problem-solving and critical thinking skills through self-initiated and teacher-directed activities within the daily schedule. Our programs offer inclusion services to children with autism. Implements naturalistic intervention strategies to assist children with special needs in interacting with peers, developing communication and social skills, and collaborates with other teachers and staff. Ensures the center complies with all governing regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Diploma and transcripts required)
• 2 years of experience
• BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
• First aid certification
• 12 units in Child Development: 3 units in Child, Family and Community; 3 units in Child Development 101; 3 units in Curriculum; 3 units in any other child development course
• Effective reading, writing, and communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree
• 3 years of experience
• Experience in early childhood inclusion setting

Salary Range

The current salary range is $24.26 to $33.36. Rady Children’s Hospital offers competitive and equitable compensation, considering experience, education, licensure, skills, organizational needs, and internal equity.
