Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Preschool Floater Teacher provides quality care to children in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. Works flexibly within the daily schedule to anticipate and respond to the needs of the Center, including staff coverage in classrooms, clerical assistance, cleaning duties, and food preparation. Understands and implements naturalistic intervention strategies to assist children with special needs. Ensures that the center meets or exceeds governing regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent (diploma and/or transcripts must be provided)
• 1 year of experience
• BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
• First Aid Certificate
• CA Driver’s License
• Proof of Auto Insurance
• 12 units in Child Development: 3 units in Child, Family and Community, 3 units in Child Development 101, 3 units in Curriculum, and 3 units in any other child development course and/or must obtain within 6 months of hire
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree
• 2 years of experience

Additional Information

The current salary range for this position is $24.26 to $33.36. Placement within this range will be based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
