Magical Beginnings is hiring an EEC Certified Preschool Teacher for our Kingston location. A $500 sign-on bonus is available for candidates who apply before September 30, 2026. The role focuses on play-based learning and kindergarten readiness for 2.9–5 year-olds.

You will partner with a co-teacher to create engaging lessons, maintain a stimulating classroom, and involve families through communications and monthly newsletters.

Qualifications

• EEC Preschool Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience.
• Daycare experience in a center-based setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible to work an 8-hour shift during school hours.

Responsibilities

Magical Beginnings is hiring an EEC Certified Preschool Teacher for our Kingston location, with a $500 sign-on bonus* for candidates who apply before September 30, 2026. If you're an experienced preschool teacher, pre‑K teacher, toddler teacher, or early childhood educator who loves the 2.9–5 year age group, we'd love to meet you.

• EEC Teacher Preschool Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience (required)
• Daycare experience in a center‑based, private, or public school setting

• Collaborating with your co‑teacher to equally prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.
• Keeping parents informed by posting parent information on the Class Dojo app and classroom boards.
• Providing a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms.
• Encouraging children's participation by providing age‑appropriate interactive activities.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the classroom: routine opening/closing of the classroom (including, but not limited to wiping down the toys, cleaning tables, vacuuming the room, sanitizing the room (after all children have left), bathrooms, emptying trash, and overall preparation of the classroom for the next morning.
• Engaging with students in free play, supervising/zone during outdoor time, helping with bathroom needs and diapering, snack and meal assistance (preparing snacks, heating up lunches, cutting up food, helping open containers, supervision), naptime assistance, etc.
• Adhering to the school's structured schedules.
• Tracking children's progress and completing assessments.
• Maintaining your EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.
• Attending monthly staff meetings.
• Creating a fun and safe learning environment for your students.
• Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.
