Job summary

Magical Beginnings is seeking a Pre‑K Teacher at our Norwell, MA preschool center. You will lead a classroom of pre‑kindergarten students through daily routines, hands-on learning, and age‑appropriate curriculum supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

You’ll collaborate with co‑teachers to plan lessons, communicate with parents via Class Dojo, and maintain a safe, clean classroom while adhering to school schedules.

Qualifications

• EEC Teacher Preschool Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience (required).
• Daycare experience in a center-based, private, or public school setting.
• Energetic approach to learning and a positive attitude.
• Curiosity, creativity, and a strong team‑focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with your co‑teacher to equally prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.
• Keeping parents informed by posting parent information on the Class Dojo app and classroom boards.
• Providing a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms.
• Encouraging children’s participation by providing age‑appropriate interactive activities.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the classroom: opening/closing routines, toys, tables, sanitizing after hours, bathrooms, trash removal, prep for the next day.
• Engaging with students during free play, outdoor time supervision, bathroom needs and diapering, snack/meal assistance, and naptime support.
• Attending monthly staff meetings and maintaining PQ registry hours.

We are currently seeking a Pre-K Teacher to join our dedicated team at our Norwell location. In this role, you'll lead a classroom of pre-kindergarten students through daily routines, hands‑on learning experiences, and age‑appropriate curriculum designed to support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Some requirements for this role include:

• Flexibility to work an 8‑hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shifts
• Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
• Attentiveness, strong time management, and strong collaboration skills

As a Pre-K Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with your co‑teacher to equally prepare curriculum, lesson plans, materials, and monthly newsletters.
• Keeping parents informed by posting parent information on the Class Dojo app and classroom boards.
• Providing a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing classrooms.
• Encouraging children’s participation by providing age‑appropriate interactive activities.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the classroom: routine opening/closing of the classroom (including, but not limited to wiping down the toys, cleaning tables, vacuuming the room, sanitizing the room (after all children have left), bathrooms, emptying trash, and overall preparation of the classroom for the next morning.
• Engaging with students in free play, supervising/zone during outdoor time, helping with bathroom needs and diapering, snack and meal assistance (preparing snacks, heating up lunches, cutting up food, helping open containers, supervision), naptime assistance, etc.
• Adhering to the school's structured schedules.
• Tracking children’s progress and completing assessments.
• Maintaining your EEC required professional development hours and PQ registry.
• Attending monthly staff meetings.
• Creating a fun and safe learning environment for your students.
• Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.
