Job summary

Lighthouse Christian Preschool in New York invites a caring Preschool Teacher to join our faith-based learning community. You will foster a nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom where children feel valued and safe as they grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

You will plan engaging activities, integrate Bible lessons and prayers, partner with families, and participate in ongoing staff development while adhering to Florida licensing standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional credentials preferred.
• Background screenings must be completed as required.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Plan and implement engaging learning experiences supporting children's growth.
• Incorporate Christian values, Bible lessons, and prayer into daily classroom activities.
• Supervise children at all times per Florida licensing.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and materials.
• Observe and document children's progress; communicate with families.

• Follow all Lighthouse Christian Preschool policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Degree, CDA or Early Childhood Education credentials preferred.
• Experience working with young children is preferred.
• Must be able to successfully complete all required background screenings.
• Must meet or be willing to complete all Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) training requirements.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
• Dependable, positive, and professional with a genuine love for children.
