Job summary

The Learning Experience in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Preschool Teacher to join our team. This full-time role requires 1–2 years of childcare experience and Florida DCF 45-hour training. You will help create a loving, educational environment for young learners.

As part of our team, you’ll implement the L.E.A.P. curriculum, support development, and communicate with families. Grow with a supportive, kid-centered program in a community-focused site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of formal childcare experience
• Florida DCF 45-hour training certificate completed
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to meet all applicable Florida childcare licensing requirements
• A genuine passion for working with young children
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Implement TLE’s L.E.A.P. curriculum through hands-on, play-based learning
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Keep children engaged through creativity, music, movement, exploration, and play
• Communicate regularly with families about their child's experiences, milestones, and accomplishments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Follow all applicable Florida childcare licensing, health, safety, and supervision requirements
• Work collaboratively with the teaching team to provide exceptional care and education

What You'll Do

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field
• CDA or other early childhood education credentials
• Additional professional development or certifications in early childhood education
• Experience working in a licensed childcare center or preschool
