  • CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification upon hire, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through structured and child-led activities.
  • Observe, assess, and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
  • Use positive behavior guidance techniques to support student growth and classroom management.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administration to provide high-quality educational experiences.
  • Prepare and organize classroom materials, learning centers, and instructional resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Support children's development of early literacy, math, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as needed.

Job Summary

Simon Says Early Childhood Center is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and physical growth of young children. This role requires a passionate educator who can foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff while promoting a love of learning through hands‑on and play‑based experiences.
