Job summary

Active Imaginations Child Development Center is seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. We serve children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old and follow the Balanced Pathways approach, blending Montessori-inspired learning with structured early childhood education.

The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, understands child development, and will create a safe, engaging, and educational classroom environment while maintaining professional communication with parents

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a childcare center, preschool, or early learning environment preferred.
• CDA/CCCC coursework preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Must meet Kentucky childcare licensing requirements.
• Ability to pass background checks through KARES and Central Registry.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Reliable and professional.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment for young children
• Implement daily lesson plans and classroom activities aligned with early childhood development standards
• Follow the Kentucky childcare licensing regulations and center policies
• Maintain classroom structure including circle time, small group activities, and play-based learning
• Monitor children's development and complete required assessments (DECA, developmental tracking, etc.)
• Maintain active supervision of children at all times
• Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding children’s progress and daily activities
• Participate in staff trainings and professional development

Active Imaginations Child Development Center is seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and energetic Preschool Teacher to join our growing team. Our center serves children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old and focuses on preparing children for kindergarten through our Balanced Pathways approach, which blends Montessori-inspired learning with structured early childhood education.

• Follow the Funny Daffer curriculum and Balanced Pathways classroom model




• Maintain classroom structure including circle time, small group activities, and play-based learning
