About the Role:
Inspired Play Learning Center is a boutique early childhood program rooted in calm, intentional environments where children learn through exploration, independence, and meaningful connection. Our approach blends play-based learning with Montessori-inspired principles, emphasizing hands-on discovery, thoughtfully prepared environments, and respect for the child.
We are seeking a warm, reflective, and organized Preschool Lead Teacher who values child-led learning and believes children thrive when given beauty, structure, freedom within limits, and purposeful work.
Key Responsibilities
Prepared Environment & Child-Led Learning
- Create and maintain a peaceful, organized classroom with intentionally designed learning areas
- Guide children through hands-on, inquiry-based experiences rooted in practical life, early literacy, math, science, sensory exploration, and creative expression
- Foster independence, problem-solving, concentration, and self-regulation through thoughtful classroom routines and guidance
- Observe children closely to inform individualized learning opportunities and classroom planning
- Support freedom within limits while maintaining a calm, respectful classroom culture
Relationships & Communication
- Build trusting partnerships with children, families, and colleagues
- Communicate professionally and warmly with families regarding children’s development and daily experiences
- Collaborate with co-teachers and support staff to maintain consistency and flow throughout the day
Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate observations and developmental documentation
- Uphold all licensing, health, and safety standards
- Participate in ongoing professional growth and reflective practice
- Contribute positively to a calm, collaborative team culture

Qualifications:
- CDA, Associate’s with 1-2 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Experience working with young children in a licensed setting
- Knowledge of child development and play-based learning
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

This is an active teaching role that requires full engagement with young children throughout the day, including:
- Sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and frequent movement
- Lifting and assisting children (up to 40 lbs)
- Engaging in active play, including outdoor activities
- Supporting children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, and meals
- Maintaining awareness and quick responsiveness in a dynamic classroom environment
