Position Overview:

As a Preschool Teacher here at The Experience- Greenwood, you will play a key role in shaping the early learning experiences of children aged 3 to 5 years old. You will implement our developmentally appropriate curriculum and have the opportunity to add your activities that foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood development, excellent communication skills, and a passion for inspiring young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the center's curriculum goals and philosophy.
2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel valued, respected, and supported.
3. Facilitate learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences that promote curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
4. Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues through open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect.
5. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress and development and use this information to individualize instruction and support.
6. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets licensing standards and health and safety guidelines.
7. Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and program quality.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma/ GED (Required)
2. Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
3. At least one year experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting.
4. Knowledge of early childhood development principles, theories, and best practices.
5. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
6. Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all students.
7. Creativity, flexibility, and a passion for working with young children.
8. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
9. Ability to pass background checks required by state regulations.
