Job summary

Newark Day Nursery and Children’s Center is seeking a full-time Lead Preschool Teacher to nurture and educate pre-kindergarten children. You will design hands-on, age-appropriate lessons, build strong relationships with families and co-teachers, and foster cognitive and emotional growth in a safe, organized classroom.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in a pre-school or daycare setting.
• Experience with children ages 3–5.
• Familiarity with child development theories and practices.
• Must be First Aid & CPR certified, or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of Assistant Teacher Certification through DEEDS preferred
• TECE Certified preferred

Welcome to Newark Day Nursery and Children's Center! We are a nonprofit childcare center dedicated to providing the highest quality early childhood and school-age services to educate, enrich and inspire children and youth from culturally and economically diverse families.

We are looking for a full-time Lead Preschool Teacher to care for and educate our pre-kindergarteners.
