Essential Functions:

1. Manage classroom ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
2. Create a welcoming environment for children, parents, and visitors.
3. Maintain attractive classroom displays and update the Parent Board regularly.
4. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum and themes.
5. Supervise and assist children during activities, using positive discipline techniques.
6. Maintain cleanliness and safety of the classroom environment.
7. Complete all required paperwork accurately.
8. Support and guide assistant teachers.
9. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and classroom activities.
10. Identify issues and collaborate on solutions with staff and management.

Physical Demands: Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds.

Education/Experience Requirements: 90 hours in Child Development and Curriculum Planning, 1 year preschool experience, or equivalent college hours/experience. Additional training in communication required. Preferred: AA/BA in Early Childhood Education or related field, MD State Credential Level 5.
