Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Preschool Teacher at St. Philip's Church in downtown Charleston, SC. This position is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 12 weeks to 3 years. This role supports physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth through age-appropriate activities, consistent routines, and positive guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience working with children under age 3.
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices.
• Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs, bend, sit on the floor, and perform active supervision.
• Warm, patient, and energetic personality with strong communication skills.
