Job summary

Reach Academy in Florida is seeking a Preschool Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, engaging learning environment and to support children’s social, emotional, physical, language, cognitive, and early academic development. • Supervise children at all times according to school policies.
• Establish predictable classroom routines.
• Teach age-appropriate social and behavioral expectations.
• Encourage positive communication and problem-solving.
• Support children’s emotional development and self-regulation.
• Provide opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration.
• Communicate appropriately with parents/guardians.
• Maintain required classroom records and documentation.
• Work cooperatively with administration and other staff members.

Job description

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The teacher will support each child’s social, emotional, physical, language, cognitive, and early academic development while helping children develop independence, confidence, positive relationships, and a love for learning.

The Preschool Teacher is expected to model the mission and values of Reach Academy by creating an environment where children are welcomed, valued, encouraged, and equipped with age-appropriate skills for continued educational success.

PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT

The Preschool Teacher is assigned responsibility for the daily instruction, supervision, care, documentation, and developmental support of children enrolled in the preschool classroom.

The teacher shall:

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
