Essential Functions:

1. Manage classroom compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations and policies.
2. Create a welcoming environment for children, parents, and visitors.
3. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum and themes.
4. Supervise children, applying positive discipline techniques.
5. Maintain classroom cleanliness and safety.
6. Complete classroom paperwork accurately.
7. Support and guide assistant teachers.
8. Communicate effectively with parents about child's progress and classroom activities.
9. Identify and address classroom or school issues collaboratively.

Physical Demands: Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds.

Education & Experience: 90 hours in Child Development, 1-year preschool experience, or equivalent college hours. MD State Credential Level 5 preferred.
