Job summary

Acelero Learning in Aiken, SC is seeking a Preschool Teacher to support children ages 3 to 5 in our Head Start program. You will deliver developmentally appropriate instruction, foster inclusive classrooms, and collaborate with families and a dedicated team to promote school readiness and social-emotional growth.

You’ll use CLASS framework, participate in ongoing professional development, and adapt teaching to diverse needs, including dual language learners and children with special needs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Early Childhood Education or six ECE courses completed.
• Hands-on experience teaching preschool-aged children.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse developmental needs.

Your Role:

As a Preschool Teacher, you will nurture responsive teacher-child relationships through the CLASS™ framework, cultivate a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment, and deliver age-appropriate, standards-aligned instruction. You will monitor developmental progress through ongoing assessments, tailor learning experiences to support the needs of all children, and actively engage families as collaborative partners in their child’s growth. You’ll also participate in continuous professional development and contribute to a team culture focused on reflection, learning, and improvement.

• Implement Research-Based Curriculum: Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with curriculum goals to support school readiness.

• Assess and Support Growth: Conduct ongoing child assessments to individualize instruction and track developmental progress across all learning domains.

• Meet Diverse Needs: Adapt teaching strategies to ensure all children, including those with special needs, dual language learners, and varying developmental levels, are supported.

• Engage Families as Partners: Build strong, respectful relationships with families to support their child’s learning and development both at school and at home.

• Invest in Professional Growth: Actively participate in ongoing training, coaching, and reflective practices, and contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

What You Bring:

• Passion for Early Learning: A deep commitment to working with young children and supporting their social, emotional, and academic growth in an inclusive, nurturing environment.

• Communication Excellence: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.

• Educational Background: A degree in Early Childhood Education – or a degree in another field with at least six (6) completed courses in Early Childhood Education.

• Classroom Experience: Hands‑on experience teaching preschool‑aged children, with the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse developmental needs.

• Collaborative Spirit: A team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to work closely with co‑teachers, family members, and support staff to drive positive outcomes.
