Job summary

Acelero Learning is hiring to support a Head Start classroom serving 3-5 year-old children in Wisconsin. You will work with the Preschool Teacher to ensure a positive, engaging learning environment and support children's early development.

The role requires strong communication, a passion for working with children, and CDA credentials or progress toward a degree. The position pays $18.90 per hour and offers robust benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Great communication and written skills.
• Passion to work with children.
• CDA credentials, or willing to enroll to complete within 2 years, or an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in any field, or currently enrolled to obtain such degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a child-centered curriculum and learning environment that promotes positive social interaction and development for children of all abilities.
• Address challenging behaviors by observing and identifying causes, teaching social/communication skills, and partnering with families.
• Use observations and anecdotal notes to document progress and tailor the curriculum to each child.

Your Role

You will work collaboratively with the Preschool Teacher to ensure the successful operation of a Head Start classroom of 3-5 year-old children. Are you ready to join forces and make a difference?!

What You’ll Do

• Maintain a child-centered curriculum and learning environment that encourages positive social interaction, active engagement in learning, and self-motivation to promote development in all domains for children of all abilities
• Address challenging behaviors by observing to determine possible causes of the behavior, implementing preventive measures, teaching the child new social and communication skills and partnering with families to support the child at home
• Use observations of children and anecdotal notes to document children’s progress and individualize curriculum
