Job summary

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a Substitute Preschool Teacher to support classrooms in our Pennsylvania locations. You will implement lesson plans, guide age-appropriate activities, and help maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment throughout the school day.

You will collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure consistent, high-quality care and education across classrooms. Eligibility requires a degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA/credits, plus experience in licensed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or CDA or 30+ credits with ECE focus.
• Experience in licensed child care settings preferred.
• Ability to communicate with families and staff effectively.

Responsibilities

• Implement established lesson plans and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Facilitate stories, art, music, movement, and hands-on learning.
• Support children’s cognitive, language, physical, and social-emotional development.
• Adapt to different classrooms, age groups, schedules, and instructional needs.
• Maintain classroom routines and ensure smooth transitions between activities.
• Provide attentive supervision during activities, meals, rest periods, and transitions.
• Assist with personal care routines as needed and ensure a safe environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to provide a positive student experience.
• Communicate professionally with families about daily routines and activities.
