Job summary

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a Substitute Preschool Teacher to support multiple classrooms and uphold a safe, nurturing learning environment for our youngest students.

You will implement lesson plans, lead stories, art, music and movement activities, and collaborate with families to ensure consistent, high-quality daily learning experiences. A Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or CDA and prior licensed-child-care experience are preferred; flexibility across age groups is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in ECE or related field required or CDA credential.
• CDA credential or 30+ college credits with relevant ECE focus and at least 1 year licensed child care experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work across classrooms and age groups, with a patient, nurturing approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable classroom support and maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment.
• Follow established lesson plans and adapt to different classrooms and ages.
• Facilitate stories, art, music and movement, and hands-on learning activities.
• Support children's cognitive, language, physical and social-emotional development.
• Communicate professionally with families about daily routines and activities.
• Maintain classroom routines and assist with personal-care tasks as needed.
