Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis, located in Sullivan, Missouri, seeks a warm, nurturing preschool teacher to foster a faith-centered learning environment and support the classroom teacher while maintaining a safe, structured classroom.

You will supervise children, assist with daily routines, reinforce positive behavior, and support social, emotional, and academic development, modeling Catholic values and patience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written lesson plans and directions.
• Dependable, flexible, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
• Practicing Catholic preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the classroom teacher.
• Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, playground, and other school areas as assigned.
• Maintain a positive, orderly, and respectful classroom environment.
• Encourage appropriate student behavior consistent with school expectations and Catholic values.
• Take attendance and complete any required classroom records or reports.
• Communicate effectively with school administration and staff regarding classroom needs or concerns.
• Adapt to varying grade levels, subject areas, and classroom routines as needed.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students, staff, and school matters.
• Follow all diocesan, school, and emergency procedures and policies.

Job Summary

Provide a warm, nurturing, and faith-centered learning environment for preschool students while supporting the classroom teacher and maintaining a safe, structured classroom.
